Overview

Holidays To Sri Lanka: Make Memories In A Land Full Of Surprises
Welcome to a land of wonder where each corner is alive with wonder, scents, and smiles. Sri Lanka is a little island with a big heart. With golden beaches to one side and green hills to the other, ancient temples waiting quietly next to busy streets, etc. With Sri Lanka Travel Tourism, you will experience untouched, clean coastlines, misty mountain towns, unguided beaches, and cities like Colombo, where the old ways of life happily coexist with the modern. From the roll of the waves lapping on the shore, to the bliss of little village roads, you can expect that every corner will have something special waiting. Whether you want to relax on the beach or get into hiking or cultural experiences, places are awaiting your experience. Don't forget about the food! Local food, rice and curry, kottu, hoppers, and more. You can even take a cooking class to learn how to prepare everything! Dress nicely at temples, avoid public affection, and ask before taking photos—follow these simple steps, and your Sri Lanka trip will be truly wonderful. Drink bottled water, and check your vaccinations before your trip. You will get the local currency, the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR), in many places you'll find credit card acceptance, for everyone else, cash is important, especially for small shops and market treats.  Your Holidays to Sri Lanka will be full of color, warm smiles, and memories you’ll never forget.
Nuwara Eliya provides s cool climate, tea plantations, tea tasting, and nearby safaris and wildlife in Yala and Wilpattu to see elephants, leopards, and birds. For the beach lover, locations Bentota and Mirissa on the coast are a great choice. You can relax on your choice of sandy beach, partake in water-based activities, or join a whale watching tour, all of which will allow you to make great memories. Sri Lanka has so much more to offer than just beaches, but it is rich in history with cities, temples, and festivals. There you will enjoy old ruins, local culture, surfing, forest hikes, and fun safaris—all in one amazing island trip. If you want a slower pace, you can relax with Ayurvedic treatments or peaceful yoga in calm and soothing surroundings. It is no good knowing when to act on these ideas. The west and south coasts and the central highlands are best from December to May, in the dry and pleasant weather. The East Coast is best from May to September. Traveling during the off seasons will save you money, and also give you the best chance to experience a more individualized experience by being less crowded. The entry to Sri Lanka is simple; you will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). The online application authorizes you to stay in the country for 30 days, and you have a second entry option. Please make sure that your passport doesn't have less than six months left to be valid from the time you plan to depart.
The island is an experience in its own right. There are great train rides (notably the Kandy to Ella train) for some great views of the countryside. Tuk-tuks are fun for shorter rides, hours in buses, and/or with private drivers for longer rides, and flights for fast travel between larger metropolitan cities. Housing: There are options for everyone.  Luxury hotels & resorts, boutique hotels, hostels, and eco-domes - yes, while there are not so many hostels, there are some options. If you prefer hotels directly on the beach, you will fall asleep each night with the sound of the waves. If you prefer to stay on land/come into the country, you may not be that far away from where you may try to find, but you certainly will be one with your surroundings. Sri Lankan food is delicious; rice and curries, hoppers, kottu, and you can join food tours and/or cooking classes to gain greater knowledge about food. When you visit any temples, dress conservatively; do not display affection in public; ask permission to take a photograph; only drink bottled water; and ask your doctor if you need any vaccinations.  You will use Sri Lanka’s currency, the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR).  Most tourism businesses will accept credit cards, but small shops will only accept cash.
The Sri Lanka Travel Tourism agency has every type of tour and attraction, like a 7-day classic tour to Colombo, Kandy, Sigiriya, & Galle, or a 10 tour with hiking, a safari, and beach time, or there is a full 14-day tour that covers a little of everything.
